Having trained at Lille and spent two seasons at PSG, Lucas Digne came very close to returning to Ligue 1 two summers ago, when he was having a difficult time at Aston Villa. In fact, as he himself revealed, the former Roma had started negotiations for the transfer to Nicewho hoped to make a great coup by signing a player with such solid experience: “I was close to Nice, but in the end the coach (Unai Emery, ed.) was not at all in agreement with the idea of letting me leave.
