At loggerheads with PSG, the Monaco coach calls Kolo Muani: “It would be nice…”

Randal Kolo Muani is increasingly distant from Paris Saint-Germain. That’s not an exaggeration, especially when head coach Luis Enrique decides to leave the French striker at home for the match against Lyon yesterday, leaving him on the bench three times in his last five outings. Something broke between the class of ’98 and the Spanish coach, so the player’s future could congest the winter transfer window with rumors.

One thing is certain: one of PSG’s two direct rivals, the Monkis looking for a center forward. And this morning he was asked Adi Hutterhead coach of the Monegasques, if it were possible to bring in the Frenchman. The answer remains to be experienced: “With Folarin (Balogun, ed.) injured, it’s our job to open our eyes and see what we can do on the market. Everyone knows that it’s never easy to recruit in the winter. Kolo Muani? It would be nice (he smiles, ed)”, he joked at first.

Showing, however, an opening for the 26-year-old’s transfer to the principality of Monaco: “But we have to be honest. There are many strikers in Europe who could help us. I know Kolo Muani from his time at Frankfurt, where he scored a lot of goals and was very good. He could be a profile. But there are many things to consider. And without a doubt he is not one of the cheapest. We need to find a good solution for the second part of the season. We have different profiles. We need to find someone who can score goals.”

Luis Enrique’s jab towards Kolo Muani
“I can only call up 20 players. Does Kolo Muani’s absence raise questions? I know I don’t speak French, but I can’t be clearer in Spanish. Anyone who doesn’t understand is not my problem.”
