Serie B, Salernitana-Juve Stabia: salvation and play-offs, derby with different objectives

The seventeenth matchday of Serie B will end at 5.15pm with the Sunday match between Salernitana and Juve Stabia. A Campania derby will be staged at the Arechi which will offer important points up for grabs, in terms of play-offs for the Gialloblu and in terms of salvation for the Granata. Since the Roman coach returned to the bench three games ago, Colantuono’s team has won 4 points and is fresh from a 1-1 draw at Modena after the victory against Carrarese. Vespas, on the other hand, come from three consecutive useful results and, above all, from the 2-1 home victory against Sudtirol. The match will be directed by Mr. Davide Ghersini from the Genoa section.

HOW THE SALERNITANA GET THERE
The Granata need points to move up the table, they are currently in the play-out zone with 17 points, and to do so Colantuono should give continuity, albeit with some changes in the players, to the 3-4-2-1 seen in Modena last week. In defence, in front of Sepe, the trio of Bronn, Ferrari and Jaroszynski has been confirmed. On the external lanes Ghiglione should act on the left and Stojanovic on the right, despite the physical problems during the week. Should the former Empoli player not make it, Gentile is ready to take his place. In the median, next to the very confirmed Amatucci, more Maggiore than Hrustic, while in the midfield there is room for the pair formed by Soriano and Verde. As Colantuono said in the press conference, Simy will play up front.

HOW JUVE STABIA GET THERE
After seven days without a win, Pagliuca’s team returned to success in the last round against Sudtirol. To give continuity to the success against the South Tyroleans, the Tuscan coach should confirm almost the entire eleven that took to the pitch last Friday. There is no doubt between the posts, Thiam will still be there. In front of the Senegalese goalkeeper there will be Bellich, Vernier and Ruggero. The latter will take the place of the unavailable Folino. Midfield line with, from right to left, Fortini, Leone, Buglio and Floriani Mussolini. Behind the first striker, who should still be Adorante, there will be Piscopo and Candellone.
