Napoli is renewed, with confirmations: in fact, the news of a meeting in Castel Volturno between Federico Pastorello and Giovanni Manna, sporting director of the club, came yesterday. As ‘Sky’ reports, the manager of the Neapolitan club met with the goalkeeper’s agent Alex Meret to discuss the extension of the agreement which expires in June 2025. After this meeting, the parties are closer to an economic agreement: the new agreement should be valid until 2027 or 2028.
In the meantime the Azzurri are also working on the armoring of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in these weeks of forced stop he will reflect in depth on the proposal from Aurelio De Laurentiis and the Neapolitan club for the renewal of the contract. The club intends to give him an adjustment of 5 million euros to scale per season with the expiry date being moved from 2027 to 2029. The Georgian would therefore earn 6 million per year including easily achievable bonuses and prizes. In the last few hours there has been an opening on the part of the entourage and now there is confidence that the fateful white smoke can be reached, which would mean locking up the blue number 77.
From a market perspective, PSG and Barcelona remain on the sidelines. This would be the most expensive investment by Napoli in the January market, also because the president intends to move with caution in the winter transfer session, where he will only purchase players on loan.
