The Udinese defender Jaka Bijol he spoke on the sidelines of the dinner organized by the Juventus club in its Club House with the sponsors. The defender’s thoughts start again from the success, very important for the purposes of the standings, in the last match of the championship against Monza which came thanks to a goal scored on the counterattack. These are his words to the microphones of TV12:
How much did the success against Monza have in terms of morale? Can you tell us how your goal on the counterattack that decided the match came about?
“It was very important for us, now we look ahead to the next challenges. On the goal I saw the free space and I decided to launch forward. The goal is always to score goals, I don’t sprint just for the numbers. It went good luckily, Ekkelenkamp saw me and put me a good ball.”
Do you have any memories of your time as a midfielder, when you were younger?
“Now that I’m a defender I perform better.”
Did the change of module help you?
“For me it changes little, it certainly meant a lot for the team, but from my point of view these are not radically different things compared to before. We have to work hard on these things because it is not easy to change formation during a match.”
