The Swiss attacking midfielder Fabian Rieder He arrived on loan from Rennes to Stuttgart last summer on a deal valid for the entire season. And speaking to the Swiss newspaper Blickthe 22-year-old revealed he wants to make the move permanent. “I chose to go on loan to a club that suits me and reflects my style of play, and where I have the feeling that they want to keep me long-term,” said Rieder.
Stuttgart are said to have a purchase option of around €10m on Rieder, who knows it is up to him to prove he deserves the investment. “In the end, it’s also up to me to push myself to make it happen. The goal is to stay in the Bundesliga and stay at Stuttgart.” Rieder has been featured frequently in Stuttgart’s starting line-up this season, with 21 appearances in all competitions, one goal and three assists.
