Final result: Juventus-Bologna 2-2
JUVENTUS (Edited by Pierpaolo Matrone)
Perin 6 – Not always clean, but still effective with his saves. Not very accurate on long throws.
Danilo 5.5 – Like the whole team, they suffer from Bologna’s aggressiveness, who play above pace compared to them. He partially saves his effort with the overlap and the perfect assist for Koopmeiners’ 1-2.
Cats 5 – Totally at Castro’s mercy. The tunnel with the back heel at 2-0 is a bit of a snapshot of his match, of a bad afternoon, of a lost duel and a lot too. From 80′ Savona sv
Kalulu 5 – On many occasions Juventus has shown that they have already found the defensive mechanisms, but today the French gear is also jammed. He doesn’t slip on Pobega at 2-0, gets a yellow card, risks a red card and in general appears rather disoriented.
Cambiaso 6 – His match lasts just seven minutes, even a little less. The time to hurt your ankle, demonstrate great attachment to the cause by playing on the pain, and then raise the white flag. From 13′ Rouhi 5 – He does his best against Bologna’s best player (Ndoye), but he doesn’t play calmly.
Locatelli 4.5 – He lets Bologna get in the way, especially on the two goals: on the first he completely forgets to follow Ndoye, on the second he does the same with Pobega. Never in the game, so much so that Motta brings him out early together with his teammate. From the 65th minute Thuram 6.5 – He has an excellent impact on the match, he manages to provide quality and quantity and actually carry the weight of the midfield alone.
Beans 5 – In the first half he throws away a big opportunity and it can only be seen for this reason. Bologna plays at high intensity and he never keeps up with the pace. From 65′ Yildiz 6 – He enters well, gives new verve to the Juventus maneuver in the last meters, having greater technical clarity.
Conceicao 6 – Right now it represents half of Juventus’ offensive production. When the ball comes to him, you always have the feeling that it could happen. He inspired the only real scoring opportunity of the first half for the Bianconeri, but he too fell in the distance.
Koopmeiners 6 – Thiago Motta is working to become Juventus’ permanent center of gravity, the man everywhere, but at the moment he is just a wingman: he presses, he sacrifices himself, but he is far from Atalanta’s levels. However, the first goal of his adventure with Juventus arrives, with the hope that it will serve to break the deadlock in a year that has so far fallen short of expectations.
Weah 5 – He plays on the left, in place of Yildiz, but practically never makes an impact. Indeed, he almost never makes the right choice when you see him, because he is often far from the heart of the game. From 79′ Mbangula 7 – He only knows how to score beautiful goals. Juventus’ savior this evening is the one arrived from Next Gen: a delightful goal, a bit like Del Piero, a bit like Insigne with that perfect ‘tiraggiro’.
Vlahovic 6 – He returns as a starter, even if for a long first part of the match no one notices it. Then he has a good opportunity, Skorupski denies him the goal. And try to turn it on. If in the first half he seemed a little on his feet, in the second half he loosened up and played more balls. He struggles to make himself dangerous with his finishing, so he takes on the role of finisher and provides the assist for the 2-2. This is how you get the pass.
Thiago Motta 5.5 – Ok, in the end his Juventus takes it back and does so with substitutions, chosen by him even if in the stands, of course: half a point more for this. But even with a center forward like Vlahovic the maneuver is fluid only at times. The team suffers from Bologna’s aggressiveness and doesn’t seem to have the same pace. And this certainly makes him angry. Even too much, so much so that his personal challenge as an ex ends with an expulsion for protests. Today the defense is also struggling, plus Cambiaso gets hurt: it’s not exactly a happy period.
BOLOGNA (Edited by Paolo Lora Lamia)
Skorupski 6 – Called into question mostly in the final part of the first half, he stood out above all with a rebound from Vlahovic’s volley.
Holm 6.5 – He contains Weah with mixed success, but does one of the best things of the match and that is when he serves Ndoye great for the goal. From 84′ Posch sv.
Beukema 6.5 – A performance of great attention, with few concessions to the opponents in the Bologna area. It never drops over the course of 90 minutes.
Lucumì 6 – On several occasions it contains a tough nut to crack like Vlahovic, but not on the occasion of a 2-2 draw when the Serbian is the assisting man.
Miranda 5.5 – He has to face perhaps the best Juventus player of the moment, Conceiçao, to whom he doesn’t give many initiatives. The two actions that allow Juve to come back, however, develop from his side.
Freuler 6 – The usual rossoblù dam that, when needed, manages treacherous balls without paying too much attention to aesthetics. The tone drops a bit at the end.
Pobega 7 – In addition to making wood in the key area of the pitch, he accompanies the action whenever he can with his insertions into the opponent’s area. With one of these, he made it 0-2 by taking advantage of a brilliant backheel from Castro. From 80′ Moro sv.
Ndoye 7.5 – The Swiss is literally unleashed, starting from the right and then cutting inside. With one of his clever insertions and a shot under the crossbar following a pass from Holm, he broke the deadlock in the first half.
Odgaard 6 – He jousts between the lines, not showing himself too far forward but helping the two midfielders a lot in stopping the Juventus advances in their tracks. From 60′ Fabbian 6 – He gives freshness to the attacking midfield, playing a sufficient endgame overall.
Dominguez 6 – Less prominent in the offensive phase than Ndoye, but this is counterbalanced by appreciable work when the opponents have the ball. More enterprising after the break. From 84′ Iling sv.
Castro 7 – The Argentine confirms his constant growth. After a very generous first half of the game, in the second half he took center stage with his backheel that allowed Pobega to double the score. From 80′ Dallinga sv.
Vincenzo Italian 6.5 – Evening of pride and regret for him. His Bologna is increasingly beautiful, cynical and even attentive, but in the final they are unable to contain Juve’s reaction and leave the Stadium with only a draw.
