Cantore scores the 700th goal in the history of Juventus Women: “I’m really happy”

Sofia Cantorewho today scored the 700th goal in the history of Juventus Women, spoke at the end of the match against Lazio which the Bianconere won in a comeback 3-2. Here are his statements:

“I’m happy with how my season is going and obviously that of the team and today I’m even happier for having scored the 700th goal in the history of Juventus Women. I don’t know what has changed in me, I can certainly say I’m more calm and when I go on the pitch I try to have fun doing the thing I like the most, which is playing football. In those situations you really have little time to think about how to finish the action, therefore the control with the heel it came instinctively to me to do it and it was a useful play because it then allowed me to carve out the right space to score goals. This victory is very important for us, we really wanted these three points.

We knew that we would face a qualitatively strong team and that the match would be difficult. Lazio, in our opinion, obtained fewer points than they deserved, consequently we knew the value of our opponents, we were not surprised by their strength and quality. We had two drops in tension, one in the first and one in the second where their two goals came. The level is now high and as soon as you lower the attention bar a little you risk a lot. In my opinion we need to improve further on this aspect.”
