A small step forward: second point in three games for Torino. 0-0 against Genoa

A point that can move the rankings. A step forward for Torino. The team of Paolo Vanoli leaves Marassi’s “Ferraris” with a 0-0 draw against Genoa which helps us look forward with more confidence. The victory hasn’t arrived yet but the Granata showed solidity in defense by keeping Milinkovic-Savic’s goal clean. The points in the standings become 16, two of which were won in the last three matches with as many draws. The first half of the match was all in all balanced even if the home team pushed harder.

The best opportunity, however, came from the away team with Vojvoda hitting the post. In the second half of the match Toro pushes with more insistence and, afterwards a goal disallowed by Karamoh due to an obvious handball by Cocohas a golden opportunity with Tameze who shoots with first intention towards the goal with Leali who makes a great intervention.

After the game, the coach Paolo Vanoli commented in the conference: “It was a hard-fought match. I knew it would be a difficult pitch. In the first half we were more lucid but less productive. In the second we were good at trying to look for some crosses, putting stress on their defensive line. missed the shot. If Vojvoda puts in that ball you play in a different way.”
