Sixteenth round of the Serie B championship which is preparing to give us new twists. This afternoon in front of one of the warmest and most infernal fans to line up against, Moreno Longo’s Bari is preparing to welcome a poisoned Cesena, who were defeated by Stirpe di Frosinone in the previous round.
How Bari arrives
Bari missed the appointment with the third consecutive victory: after conquering Arechi di Salerno and defeating Cittadella – last today – at home, they drew with Brescia 1-1. Much regret for the red and whites, who went behind after just 20 seconds of play, found the equalizer in the first half, only to then miss a penalty (hitting the post with Falletti) and subsequently a crossbar with Novakovich. Despite this, Bari proves to be a healthy team, being the team with the longest streak of useful results in a row (13, the result of 4 wins and 9 draws). Mr. Longo’s team finds itself at 21 points in the standings, in sixth position in full battle for a place in the playoffs and they really don’t want to give up.
How Cesena arrives
The Romagna team, however, were incredibly defeated in the last round of the championship against Frosinone, who were last in the league at the hour. At the moment, however, Mignani’s team boasts only one point more than the Apulians in the standings, thanks to the numerous points earned in front of their fans. It is away from home that all the difficulties arise for the Bianconeri: dancers in the defensive phase, always lethal in front of goal. It is no coincidence, in fact, that they are the third best attack, thanks to the 25 goals scored and hitting the net 14 times out of the 15 total.
