Inter on alert, 5th victory in a row for Bayer. Xabi Alonso: “Wirtz gives us quality, beautiful goal”

Bayer Leverkusen is starting to scare Inter. The Aspirins they triumphed for the fifth time in a row in their last five official outings. This time St. Pauli defeated in the Bundesliga, in the 13th round of the championship, 2-1: Wirtz and Tah scored in the first half, Guilavogui scored the goal at the end of the match.

Next Tuesday, however, Leverkusen will have to host Simone Inzaghi’s Nerazzurri in the match valid for the sixth matchday of the Champions League. Meanwhile the Bavarian coach, Xabi Alonsothus commented on the outcome of the match to the microphones of Sky Sports DE: “We played a good first half with a lot of stability. We took the lead 2-0 and it was nice, but it wasn’t over yet and when you don’t score anything can happen. St Pauli scored and then put pressure on us Maybe we lacked a bit of intensity in one-on-one matches. But it’s not easy to play every three days and today was a good example of that.” Then on Wirtz: “Flo gives us that extra quality. It was brilliant. Seeing the goal live was wonderful.”
