According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Hjulmand is one of the main candidates to take Lopetegui’s place, if West Ham decide to change technical leadership. The Danish coach has gained international attention thanks to his successes with his country’s national team and could therefore represent an interesting choice for the London team.
Meanwhile, the former West Ham manager, David Moyesis one of the main candidates for the role of manager of Wolverhampton, should Gary O’Neil be sacked. However, Rob Edwards is seen as an outsider – the manager currently at Luton Town has a good relationship with the club, having spent four years at Molineux as a player.
