Ligue 1, small change in the calendar: Sundays will no longer be played at 5pm

Small change in the Ligue 1 calendar. Starting from the seventeenth matchday of the championship, which will be played from 10 to 12 January 2025, some matches will always be scheduled for Sunday in the afternoon, with a small difference: the 3pm timetable remains unchanged, while the next slot will no longer be at 5pm but at 5.15pm, thus postponing the kick-off by a quarter of an hour compared to today. The LFP announced it:

“In agreement with DAZN, the LFP Board of Directors, which met on Thursday 5 December, made a change to the schedule of McDonald’s Ligue 1 matches. Starting from the 17th matchday (10 to 12 January), the Ligue 1 matches McDonald’s scheduled every Sunday at 5pm will now start at 5.15pm This arrangement of the McDonald’s Ligue 1 matchdays responds to the need to have a longer interval between matches end at 3pm and matches start at 5.15pm.”
