Luca Percassi, CEO of Atalanta, gave an interview to DAZN shortly before the match against Milan:
How does it feel to face Milan and Real as equal favourites?
“What we are proud of is that tonight we are playing against a great team in Italian football. There will be a great evening of football, in a full and renovated stadium.”
Could the January transfer window be a sensitive issue for you?
“That can never be ruled out but the club’s will is not to touch the squad. We are happy with the reinstatement of Scalvini, a fundamental player. We are also waiting for Scamacca’s return, another signing for us at the end of January.”
How do you explain all this enthusiasm?
“There is a great sense of belonging from everyone. This is Atalanta. Belonging starts from afar, the fans love us and push us to do our best. The players represent the identity of our club. There’s a lot of work behind it but today it’s nice to experience a night like this in the hope of picking up points.”
