Genoa have renewed contacts for Jusef Erabistriker owned by Hammarby, eight goals this season in Allsvenskah, the Swedish top league. Raised in the green and white academy, he was followed over the months by various English clubs, such as Leeds United – who in the summer had sought an agreement of around 10 million euros – but also Norwich, with the negotiations failing.
It remains to be seen whether the rossoblù will try to make a breakthrough during the January transfer windowwhich could be decisive for Erabi. Because there will be new attempts by the clubs across the Channel, while the rossoblù will also have to make a decision regarding Mario Balotelli, who has a contract until 30 June 2025 but which could possibly be terminated in the event of unsatisfactory performances on the part of of the former Brescia and Monza.
Erabi, born in 2003 and of Afghan origin, had already been in Genoa’s sights since last Decemberwhen he could arrive as deputy Mateo Retegui. However, the valuation was decidedly lower, around 2 million. 2024 was very positive, at least until October, given that in the last eight games played he only scored one goal, when in the previous eight he had scored five.
