B.Galli: “Juve will have to do more than anyone in January. And Conte will certainly want something”

TMW Radio

The agent and president of AIACS Beppe Galli was a guest of TMW Radioduring Maracanato talk about various topics.

Can this Milan stop Atalanta?
“It’s the incidents that make the difference in football. Teams from mid-table and above can compete and win. The Italian championship is tough, even against the last team you have to struggle. Atalanta from the Scudetto? It’s the most European we have in Italy , it’s not a surprise. Every now and then he has missed passes that haven’t allowed him the leap in quality he deserves.”

Lazio and Fiorentina surprises. Will they do anything in January? And who performed best in the summer?
“I believe that when you do very well, there must be an opportunity, but otherwise you don’t change easily. When coaches have a compact group that does well, they try to stay that way. I don’t expect maneuvers. Who did better? Both in the end, given the results.”

Will Juventus and Napoli instead be protagonists of the January transfer window?
“Juve will have to do something more given all these injuries. However, they must also make ends meet and if they manage to carry out operations with loans, perhaps with obligations or redemption rights, they can do something. Napoli? Knowing Conte, it’s not never happy and will try to bring something home.”

And Rome?
“Ranieri is the right coach, due to his experience and knowledge of the environment. But there are situations that we don’t know about that create problems in the club.”

Will Inter move in January?
“Inter is a competitive team, which will do something if something is needed given that they compete on three fronts. If they assess that something is missing, they will intervene, but to say now that they will move in January is difficult to say. Also because with the blocked lists, then It’s hard to keep anyone out there.”

Will anyone, besides Inter and Juve, move in the window from 1st to 10th June for the new Club World Cup?
“It’s a test for everyone, but I’ll be old-fashioned: there are too many games, which aren’t good for football.”

Are the players aware of this situation?
“The players say it, there have been interventions. They are not robots, so there is less training, there is less rest and more stress which leads to injuries. And the physical state for a player is important.”

So couldn’t the lists be lengthened, given the situation?
“Especially those who compete in three competitions would need it. But it’s not a fair competition with those who have much less. Either it’s done for everyone or nothing. However, common sense isn’t lacking in football. I don’t understand the lists. Then they say that it’s done for the young people, but where are the 2005 or 2006 players in Serie A? Abroad, yes, but here…”.

How is the transfer market made in Serie B and C?
“Once upon a time, players were found in Serie B, but in recent years, players have been sold from Serie B for a few million, while in England there are also cases of sales for 40-50 million. Here, if you make 10 million, it’s a lot. everything has changed. We have strong young Italians, but we always look for foreigners because it’s convenient.”

Will it be possible to standardize all European markets in the end?
“It would be logical to close the markets when you start playing, but I don’t see common sense in football.”
