Parma looking for defensive reinforcements: full-back Wagner is liked, also monitored by Atalanta

Between injuries and some pieces to replace, Parma will certainly intervene in the repair market. There will be no shortage of reinforcements in the defensive department: Parma have lost Circati and at the moment cannot rely on Osorio and Valenti, while Di Chiara is now out of the club’s plans and could leave in January. The management is looking for the right profile to include in the squad and is looking above all at a new left back: second Sky Sports DEone of the names in sporting director Pederzoli’s notebook would be that of left back Kai Wagner.

The German defender born in 1997, playing for the Philadelphia Union, is back from a couple of exciting seasons in MLS. Wagner is linked to the American club until 2026 but his contract would contain a clause for the next transfer session set at 2 million. Growing up as a footballer in Ulm, he also played in the youth teams of Augusta and Schalke, before attempting the American adventure in 2019. His profile is appreciated for his strong offensive skills: he achieved 44 assists and 8 goals in 215 games in the United States and is now ready to test himself in Europe.

There would also be interest in him from Burnley and Coventry, but Atalanta would also be following him closely. What seems certain is that he will leave the USA: his destiny includes Italy, England, Spain or Germany.
