Davide Marsurastriker ofAscolispoke at TMW Radio during “A Tutta C” to analyze the positive moment of the Marche team, fresh from two consecutive victories in the championship:

Two consecutive victories, following a good draw streak, can we say that Ascoli’s bad moment is over?
“Yes I think it’s over. Beyond the results we also found the performances. I think these results also give us confidence for the next matches.”

What has changed with Di Carlo? What did it help you with?
“We knew the coach for his CV both as a footballer and as a coach. He was good because he brought the group together. He brought the mentality of what Serie C is. He gave this type of imprint, of character and personality, to the team.”

Last season in Catania there was also a complicated start, can we say that C is really a very complicated championship, perhaps even more so than B?
“I can confirm that for me C is in many ways more complicated than B. When you play in Catania or Ascoli, the opponents come to play with even more desire. This season we have a lot of young guys, it just takes time to find the right fit and show our qualities.”

Can you give us a general point about group B? Is there much balance?
“Group B was also a little more unpredictable at the beginning. In Serie C, then, you don’t win with coat of arms or names. The one that perhaps has a little more is the Ternana. As for the rest, I think they can all finish in the top 2-3.”

Despite some complaints from the fans, have the club always been supportive of you?
“The fans have their reasons that we don’t know. They come to the stadium and then decide whether to contest the team or the club. We in the team have practically never been challenged, only after a few results but that’s okay. They have always supported us and followed us even away from home. I’m sorry about what’s happening with the club and the president because the president is a truly present person who puts everything into it. During the period in which we weren’t winning he also came to have lunch with us at the sports centre.”

What do you expect from the next races?
“Seeing the teams, they are certainly within reach but I look more at ourselves. On Sunday I had the perception that we could win right from the locker room.”

From footballer to talent scout: is there a young man who has impressed you within the Ascoli squad?
“We are lucky because we have many good young players, beyond their technical value. We have these interesting young people who, if they continue to have their heads on their shoulders and keep their feet on the ground, will have an important future.”
