TMW Radio
During today’s appointment with ‘A Tutta C’ on the frequencies of TMW Radio the midfielder intervened Rimini Alessandro Lombardi. These are his words.
You started out playing less, now you’re a very starter. How did you earn the coach’s trust?
“I certainly convinced him to give me more space, the ankle operation in June which made me miss all my training affected my performance, I returned to the group at the beginning of September. Now the coach is giving me great trust and we are achieving important results.”
You are struggling at home, what is the reason for this internal performance?
“We have to do better at home, I think it’s a coincidence because many times we put in great performances at home and don’t score points, which we manage to do away from home. I think it’s a coincidence, but we know we have to do better.”
How much can you dream given the current ranking?
“We must continue with enthusiasm and try to stay in the playoff zone, then we think match by match because the championship is still very long. The entire second half of the season is missing and we have to think game by game, we have to bring the enthusiasm of the last few courses to finish the first half of the season in the best possible way and continue like this in the second half of the season as well.”
What is characterizing this very positive moment?
“We play every three days, always away, we don’t prepare much for the matches, the coach tells us to keep our heads free and only think about giving our best on the pitch. The victory in the Italian Cup was excellent, we are going to play against Altamura and we are happy to play it against an excellent team.”
In the Italian Cup you managed to start off strong straight away, is that what the coach asked you?
“By playing so much you often waste a lot of energy and you don’t manage to have it for the whole match. In the first 70 minutes we had to give everything as the coach said and then manage the end of the match and fortunately we managed to do so.”
How is your relationship with Mr. Buscé?
“We are an all-in-one team, whoever plays the performance doesn’t change. The coach is very good at keeping us all on our toes because anyone can play, this is something that characterizes us and our victories are the result of this mentality.”
He signed a long contract until 2026, how much confidence does that give you?
“It’s an important signal, this is a club that works very well and being part of this club makes me proud. I’m happy, it gives me responsibility and gives me confidence, I’m happy about this.”
The calendar comes to your aid. What can you achieve in the next races?
“My thought is that every match is difficult in this championship, you can never let your guard down and think that an opponent is weaker because the catch is around the corner. We have to face everyone as if they were first in the standings, we don’t look at the calendar and the opponent but we try to score as many points as possible against anyone.”
What happened to Paris who scored four goals in the last four?
“Jack is a strong player, he has important qualities. He’s a boy who works a lot for the team, even when he doesn’t score a goal he gives a big hand to all of us, like all the attackers. This is one of the characteristics of our team.”
What is your relationship with Max Canzi, who you had as coaches for many years?
“I am very close to the coach, he is a coach and an important person for me. He saw me grow, in Cagliari in the Spring we had a good journey and having found him again in Pontedera in the last six months made me very happy. I take this opportunity to greet him.”
He will face Pontedera as a former player in four days, which team is it?
“I saw yesterday’s resounding victory, I know their values well. They deserve better ranking positions, we have to be careful and concentrate as much as possible because as I said before every match is dangerous and you can’t just watch the rankings.”
Did Buscé ask you for any information on Pontedera?
“We haven’t talked about Pontedera with the coach yet, but I saw that in the last match they played very well, being very aggressive and it will be a good match”.
How is the city accompanying you?
“In Rimini the fans are very warm, they are always there both at home and away, they give us great support and I think this enthusiasm is charging them further. We hope to give him a lot of joy.”
Can you tell us from the inside the level of this group B?
“We met the big three and they made a good impression on me, I liked them for their team spirit and then they have important players who solve matches. It will be a challenge for first place until the end.”
What is your goal for this season?
“My personal goal is to help the team as much as possible, we are all focused on helping our teammate to win as many games as possible. I would like to improve in terms of scoring, I hope to score some goals and play as much as possible. This is the primary objective which, however, must not undermine the team spirit which is the most important thing.”
