Antonin Barak was supposed to be one of the cornerstones of Commisso’s Fiorentina. Instead he didn’t do very well, at least in the championship, perhaps finding little space in the two seasons with Vincenzo Italiano. He certainly did better in the Conference League, scoring eight (of the thirteen) goals scored in the two seasons with Fiorentina.
On 7 September, after the various purchases in the last few days of the market, Barak decided to accept the court of Kasimpasa. On loan with right of redemption set at 6 million, after having arrived in the summer of 2022 for around 7. Thirty-nine goals in Italy between Udinese, Lecce, Fiorentina and Hellas Verona, probably his best experience in Italy.
In recent days Barak spoke about his relationship with Palladino and also about the choice to go to Kasimpasa. It has been great since it arrived. There was a good feeling, I respect every coach and I want every coach to respect me as a player and as a person. I have always behaved at my best, at the beginning they were very focused on my staying and I also never spoke to my agent or put pressure to find another solution, I knew I was under contract with Fiorentina and I wanted to stay. Then there was this solution, and I took this path because I felt that I wouldn’t have the space I was looking for. I wanted to play, unfortunately everything happened at the last second.” Antonin Barak turns 30 today.
