Guest of the TMW column, ‘Face to Face’, Giorgio Perinettidean of Italian sports directors, analyzed the moment of the Serie B tournament. With Sassuolo extending their lead, also thanks to Pisa’s draw and Spezia’s first defeat:
“Sooner or later it had to happen to Spezia – he explains -, due to the law of large numbers: Palermo is behind the teams aiming for Serie A but for the Ligurians, yesterday’s defeat is not an accident: they played against a strong team. As far as Pisa is concerned… it can happen.”
Finally, there is also space for the ‘Brunori case’ now separated at home in Palermo: “The problem will have to be resolved in January. In the summer the sale would probably have been more advantageous, these are market dynamics. It’s a situation that has worn on in recent months, a solution must be found in January or he goes back to playing for Palermo.”
