The Inter coach Simone Inzaghi he was elected best coach of the past Serie A season. These are his words from the stage: “I am very pleased to be here and be awarded by Spalletti. I want to share this award with my players, without them it would not have been possible. Then with my club which has made everything available to me in these 3 and a half years. And obviously with our fans.”
This year’s turnover?
“There are tools we have, we try to talk to the trainers. There are many matches and close commitments, it’s not easy but we try to adapt. I would like to take a step back to yesterday: it was a difficult evening, there were moments that simple. But the world of football made a great impression last night, seeing the stadium and all of Italy rally around Edoardo was a beautiful example.”
Have you ever felt undervalued?
“No, I feel appreciated by my club and my boys, as well as by the fans. Lazio has been my life for more than 20 years, now I’ve been here for 4 years and I hope to stay there for a long time. We are always under judgment, it’s not an easy job. Every day we have to make so many decisions, it’s never easy and we do it for the good of society.”
Do you know all your opponents?
“As a child I was with my brother at the seaside, there is a photo of us with the Gazzetta. I could barely read, but I was already looking for the players…”.
