Fiorentina-Empoli in the Italian Cup is played: players ok, postponement will not be requested

The Fiorentina team has decided: Wednesday’s Coppa Italia match against Empoli (kick-off at 9pm) will be played. No request for postponement will therefore be sent to the extraordinary council of Lega Serie A.

On Empoli’s part, however, an opening had been given regarding a postponement of the match. The president of the Azzurri, Fabrizio Corsi, said: “We must align ourselves with the decisions, we stand in solidarity with Fiorentina and I know it won’t be easy. We would have nothing against it if it were decided to postpone Wednesday’s Coppa Italia match.”
