Trapani, Aronica: “The pitch penalized us, but we’re not looking for alibis”

Third external knockout in a row in the championship for the Trapani. Mister spoke in the press room Salvatore Aronica to comment on his team’s performance against Altamura: “We came here with other ambitions. I believe that the defeat is too heavy because we could have come out with a draw for what we created, especially in the second half. But despite myself, we accept this result that the field has given birth to, there is certainly some work to be done and some things to be reviewed because, I repeat, today the ambitions were very different.”

The coach then continued: “The pitch? It certainly penalized us, we had very high quality players and therefore the fact of playing on a pitch like San Nicola could certainly have been an advantage if it had been in the best conditions, but this didn’t happen : we had to adapt. It’s not an alibi, we don’t look for excuses today, we conceded too much, in the second half we were back in the game and we could have done more.”
