Jovetic’s revelation: “This summer there was a negotiation with Venezia but it fell through”

Stevan Jovetic, Montenegrin striker today at Omonoia Nicosia in the Cyprus championship but who has spent his career in Serie A with the shirts of Fiorentina and Inter, teams that will face each other today at 6 pm, gave an interview to Sky Sports Insider in which he revealed a background to the transfer market which sees him as a protagonist and which could have brought him back to Serie A in the summer: “In the summer there were negotiations with Venezia. First I spoke with the coach and it seemed like a negotiation that was more than underway , then we couldn’t find each other and everything fell apart.”

On the Franchi challenge today, he adds: “Fiorentina didn’t start very well, but that’s normal. It takes time to get used to a new coach, it’s difficult to see results after just a month. Especially when he’s as young as Palladino, who however is demonstrating his great value on the bench. I saw some Fiorentina games and I liked them, they play good football. But in my opinion Inter still have the most complete squad in Serie A: the length of the bench can make the difference in games of this level Inter have this moment still a little more and a slightly favored side.”

Conclusion on relationship with Florence: “I still have an apartment in Florence. My career has kept me constantly traveling and taking me far away for many years, I have never had the opportunity to visit it as a tourist. Until last summer, when I returned for three days for a wedding. I am I had a really good time, I was almost excited to be back. I had missed everything: Florence, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, its lifestyle and of course Italy too. I have many beautiful memories of those 5 years lived there.”
