Empoli, D’Aversa: “Losing 2-0 and not 3-0 changes, but today there was no story”

Roberto D’Aversacoach of Empoli, spoke at the press conference after the defeat at Milan and commented on the match as follows: “AC Milan certainly gave one of the best performances, but we didn’t do our best. There was an attitude not aggressive, a bit defeatist, without too much personality. This defeat must help us for the future. The absences are not a justification for having that first half.”

How do you keep the level high?
“It is useless to think that we are losing against Milan, because we have to lose: losing 2-0 and not 3-0 changes. There was no history today and it is the first time it has happened this year. What they are doing The boys so far have deserved everything on the pitch, thanks to the fact that they have given everything on the pitch without having any regrets about ourselves.”

What do you take home despite the defeat?
“Anjorin did well, Marianucci from 2004 entered San Siro well with personality and did better than the one who left. In the second half we showed a little more courage by being a little more aggressive, even though there were some technical errors as in the case of their second goal. But there are some positive aspects, even though when I lose the match I struggle to see positive things.”
