The coach of Alcione Milano John Cusatis commented on the draw against FeralpiSalò: “We played a good match against a really strong team, which has values and important players and who will fight until the end to return to Serie B. They haven’t lost at home yet. We knew that the the only way to annoy these teams is to have courage and play, and I think we were very good from this point of view. When the time came to defend ourselves, we did it with order and attention, as always.
It was a good match and I’m happy with how we approached it and how the team followed my requests. We had prepared exits to be able to manage their pressure, we were good at implementing them. We have a midfield that is good at dribbling, also helped by the great work of the attackers and Invernizzi.
The defensive structure of the first half? We wanted to contain Pietrelli, a very strong player for this category, and therefore we put Chierichetti and Bonaiti on his side who are very strong in duels. Then in the second half I introduced Dimarco who came in very well, it wasn’t easy to be ready immediately with them in offensive protection, but instead he held up very well. It was a tactical choice dictated mainly by the characteristics of their players, knowing that we have very flexible players. I think it was a winning strategy because we managed to greatly limit their offensive potential.”
