Totti: “Happy for Ranieri at Roma. My return? He will decide, but we haven’t spoken”

Busy in Dubai for the Finals of the EA7 World Legends Padel Tour, Francesco Totti spoke to the microphones of Sky Sportsfocusing on various current football issues, starting from his Roma: “Little by little I think we will recover, yesterday we played a good match in London, I hope the great Roma that we all expect can return. I’m happy that Ranieri is returned to Rome. We all know the importance of this coach: beyond the fact that he is Roman and a Roma supporter, he is one of the few who manages to convey many positive things.”

He added about his possible return to the club: “It’s a question they asked Ranieri and he answered calmly. He will be the new manager of Roma next year, so he will have a say in the matter and will decide who to call and how to handle the situation well. Have we heard from him? No, not yet No”.

Totti also focused on the championship fight: “I didn’t think there was this confusion in the top positions. It’s nice because there is competitiveness, there are many teams that want to win and I hope it can last until the end. Atalanta can do it, at the moment they are one of the teams who is better physically. The championship is still long, even if I think that Inter, Napoli and Juve have something more.”

National Chapter: “He can do great things. We Italians hope so, especially to show that Italy is one of the most important teams in the world. With the coach we have we can do great things.”

Del Piero’s possible role as FIGC president: “If he were to make this choice we would all be happy because he is a real, clean person who wants to have this experience which is not easy, but he can do anything.”
