Christian Panucci spoke to SportMediaset on the occasion of the World Legends Padel Tour currently taking place in Dubai. The former defender spoke first about Milan and then moved on to the other big names in the Italian championship, sparing no criticism of the Rossoneri and Juventus and dispensing praise to Atalanta and the quality that Gasperini manages to give them despite the many transfer operations coming out in each session:
“Milan have excellent players: in Italy they are an excellent team, in Europe they are a good team. However, something more is expected from Milan in the league, but they are having a complicated defensive phase at the moment.”
So a general consideration on Serie A and the race for the Scudetto
“Inter are still the team to beat, Atalanta are doing well and have been doing so for years. Every year many players change but they are always there, the skill of the coach at this point must be recognized worldwide.”
So Juventus, a team that according to Panucci is the disappointment of the season so far, net of the many injuries suffered in recent weeks
“Juventus isn’t inspiring me, they have 5 points less than last year and yet everything is calm… If Allegri had been on the bench they would have massacred him. So far Juventus are the ones who have disappointed the most of all.”
