(ANSA) – ROME, NOV 27 – “If we want to create a country for investors, we must have the courage to make choices. For example, it is absurd that the Italian Cup final takes place during the tennis internationals or that the Milan marathons and Rome take place on the same day”. Thus the CEO of Sport and Health, Diego Nepi Molineris, during his speech at RCS’s “Sport Industry Talk” in Rome. “We still haven’t understood what the sports industry is and we think it is artisanal – he added -. Big sporting events create demand, we saw it with the Olympics. But there is a lack of supply and it is not possible for Italy to equip itself with infrastructure only after major events.
From here was born our idea of playgrounds that provide infrastructure to the territory and consequently for large events”. And then again: “The playground is not the solution to everything but it is to provide an answer in a short time. It takes nine years to build a facility, in between generations pass and fashions change.” Nepi then concluded: “Sport unites Italy and the country. Those who work in the Government want unity and a positive message from sport”. (ANSA).
