Marchetti: “This Cittadella is strong but unlucky. Capradossi? He must find the right conditions”

Stefano Marchettigeneral manager of Citadelhas released some statements through the columns of The Gazzettinoboth to comment on the signature of Elio Capradossi that the moment of the formation of Alessandro Dal Canto in view of next weekend’s home match against Juventus Stabia: “Capradossi is a strong player, we must be lucky that he is physically well, he like the other players in the squad. To name a few, I thought Negro could have been well since his retirement but we have only recently had him available, Casolari has been out for some time, Vita is injured: some years are lucky and others aren’t. Capradossi is fine, the visits are ok, it will take some time for him to find his best condition.

This team is strong and complete, for me even more so than in recent years, but in one way or another we have a thousand problems with injuries or suspensions. The full team is strong, but it has never been complete, and I’m not talking about setbacks but about long stops. You need character, and you can’t buy that at the market. For a thousand reasons we got into trouble and the problems are there for all to see: the team did well in Bari, but we can’t do the right things three goals down.

The January transfer window? If there is something to do on the market I will certainly do it, but the repair market is not the cure for all ills. With the full squad this Cittadella can do better than it can now: by bringing back quality and experienced people like Capradossi, Negro, Pavan, Vita we can only grow and improve.”
