…with Nicolas Spolli –

A new talent ready to land in Italy. Mateo Silvetti, forward born in 2006 for Newell’s Old Boys. “He is already on the radar of important clubs in Italy too,” Nicolas Spolli, former defender of – among others – Catania and Genoa and now talent scout for Quan Sports Management, tells TuttoMercatoWeb.com.

Who could we compare him to?
“In terms of characteristics I compare him to Pocho Lavezzi, he is an attacking winger who can also play as a second striker. He has pace. It will be talked about.”

What market do you see in January?
“Companies will certainly be hunting for opportunities. I expect some adjustments, especially from teams like Roma to move the table. Or from Turin in attack.”

It’s a troubled season for Roma.
“Things were not handled in the best way. In Rome the fans deserve much more. Sending De Rossi away was synonymous with a lack of planning. Now Ranieri will try to put things right.”

Genoa sacked Gilardino.
“Many people talk about American properties that only do business. They won’t be the best. But whoever should be in charge is Italian. If I am a sporting director or an administrator I try to make decisions. Gilardino didn’t deserve to be sacked. That square deserves respect.”

In B, Sassuolo is taking off.
“He’s doing a great job, even Spring is first. Sassuolo will come back, they are doing something amazing and they know how to win matches.”

Palermo is struggling, leaving Brunori on the sidelines due to a technical choice…
“The choice to leave Brunori on the bench is not understandable, but perhaps there are reasons that are difficult to understand from the outside. But… Palermo bought Le Douaron for almost five million and therefore perhaps capitalize on the investment. But Brunori in B is a certainty.”

Sampdoria also disappoints.
“He is still paying for the change of ownership. Then when you don’t manage to move up straight away, the following years are tiring. A club like Samp deserves other stages.”

Surprisingly, Frosinone is in the slums.
“Knowing Director Angelozzi I think he’s going through a strange time. When things don’t go well sometimes everything goes wrong. But Angelozzi will intervene on the market in January to get out of the dangerous areas”:

And his ex Catania?
“Daniele Faggiano is a sporting director who represents a certainty. It’s an added value. The team is built well. But group C is not easy. Even if Benevento is going strong, the last word has not been said. The property is strong, they will go and touch up something. The ranking is short.”
