Venezia dominates, but Lecce wins: good first match for Marco Giampaolo

The first one was good Marco Giampaolo who on his debut as coach of Lecce beat Venezia 1-0 away after a match that saw his team suffer for 70 minutes, before Dorgu’s goal which allowed the Salento team to take home three very important points.

The words of Di Francesco.
“The frustration is very high at the moment. We didn’t deserve this result. We dominated for 70 minutes and didn’t allow a single shot on goal, creating a lot. It’s sad that it ended like this, then the quality in the final choices is our demerit. I’m sorry, the boys didn’t deserve this, because they weren’t rewarded. This thing is happening again but we shouldn’t fall into despair seeing that we haven’t conceded a single shot in 70 minutes really pisses you off 709 minutes you do this but you don’t score a goal then it’s clear that anything can happen.”

Giampaolo’s words.
“Technically it wasn’t a clean match but the team had spirit and knew how to suffer. Venezia dribbled and played well, we were good even in difficult situations. Then Jean’s entry gave us more balance. The substitutions made the decision of the match? Jean worked on Oristanio, it’s his role and so Gallo was able to express his qualities. The matches were all difficult.
