Turk: “I had a good time in Parma. I would come back if I had the opportunity to play”

Martin Turkformer goalkeeper of Parma by Fabio Pecchia, currently playing for Ruch Chorzow, a club that plays in the Polish Serie B, was interviewed by SportParma and he spoke thus of the last match played by the ducals: “Atalanta is a team that knows how to do badly, difficult to face, with a strong squad and if you concede something it’s over because they love to play man against man all over the pitch. Pecchia’s idea is to dominate the game, against every opponent, but in Serie A it is difficult to impose this concept immediately. In my opinion, Parma should have played a little more defensively and started again, even without necessarily changing formation.”

Can you tell us about your farewell to the gialloblù?
“I had a good time in Parma, but I left to gain experience. I didn’t stay because I changed three sporting directors in three years and the choice to go to Poland was determined by the fact that I wanted to aim for the next European Championship with the national team. I would come back in Italy and in Parma if I had the opportunity to play, I definitely wouldn’t go to Serie C anymore. I think I could do well in Italy.”
