Pogba kidnapping, the reconstruction of the story: the 2 hooded men are still being searched for

A “toxic” friendship, he writes The Team this morning talking about the trial in which six people will be charged for the kidnapping and extortion of Paul Pogba. The facts date back to March 2022: “During a weekend in Paris, before joining the French national team, Pogba is with Boubacar C., Adama C. and Roushdane K.. The four are taken to an apartment where Machikour K awaits them . and Mamadou M.; at that point two hooded and armed individuals enter the scene (not yet identified by the investigators) who ask for 13 million euros in exchange for alleged protection offered in the past to the player”.

Thus begins the story of that day. “At that point Pogba promises to pay but doesn’t convince the criminals. He returns to Manchester, pays a deposit of 100,000 euros to Boubacar C. but doesn’t tell anyone about this story, changes his number and becomes unreachable, then returns to Juventus. His friends , together with his brother Mathias, go directly to Turin in July, then to their mother and to the hotel. At that point the complaint is made and the arrests arrive.”

Pogba has always remained faithful to his childhood friends, whom he often hosted in Italy and England. This is precisely the same “gang” that is now on trial and that “would have asked him for several million euros for a real estate project. Pogba had refused but had proposed to give them 300 thousand euros each. He was the friend usefulan easy target”, underlines the transalpine newspaper. In the end Pogba “always ends up forgiving, sometimes to the great dismay of those close to him. Many were shocked to see among the defendants those young people who, at the time, shared the same snack, the same changing room and the same room.”

The suspects will have to answer in court for “attempted extortion”, “kidnapping” and “criminal association”. They all risk up to 10 years in prison and it seems that they have developed “a common position, declaring themselves victims of the same acts of which Paul Pogba is the victim”: they claim to have suffered “pressure and aggression” from the two kidnappers.
