For a footballer it is always a great satisfaction to win individual prizes and lift important trophies. Sometimes, however, the best titles are those earned away from the playing fields: this is the case with the one received by André Onanawho was awarded the “FIFPRO 2024 Merit Award for Player Impact”.
The Manchester United goalkeeper was recognized for his ability to help, through his foundation (which provides free medical care and surgery), all of sub-Saharan Africa and almost 500 children every year. An award – obviously awarded by FIFPRO, the International Federation of Professional Footballers), truly deserved for the former Inter player.
