The director of ‘Corriere dello Sport’ Ivan Zazzaroni commented this morning on Napoli-Roma 1-0, a match that brought Antonio Conte’s team back to the top of the table: “It was all written. It was written that Napoli would win. It was written that Roma, a patient who was not at all imaginary, would defend themselves to try not to take them: the minimum from the maximum possible, today. It was written that Lukaku would score. And that , at the time of the goal, Big Rom had the highly sought-after (almost) debutant Hummels, introduced by Ranieri at the start of the second half to replace El Shaarawy.”
Then in another passage he added: “The image that describes Roma’s moment is Paulo Dybala himself, who came on three minutes from the end and, after the match, went to train with those who hadn’t played. Much more than a paradox.”
At the end of the match lost at the Maradona stadium, this is the analysis of Roma coach Claudio Ranieri: “I’m happy because we fought. In the second half with the three-man defense we had more possession of the ball and slowed down Napoli. The goal came due to our lack of attention, we have to improve our attention. We have to work and improve but we must not give up. How never the change of formation in the second half? We always lost the man at the far post. It wasn’t good, to restart better I put Baldanzi next to Dovbyk.”
