Dusan Vlahovic will try to return for the Champions League. The Serbian striker is eager to return to the field, given that he has already missed the match played at San Siro against Milan. A very bitter draw for both teams, who played a subpar match, widely disappointing expectations. But from Milan – we also read in La Stampa – a more than significant fact emerged: Juventus cannot do without Vlahovic.
The absence of weight in the advanced department, without a real center forward against Milan, was felt a lot. For this reason Vlahovic will want to try to get Juve back as early as next Wednesday, when the Bianconeri visit Aston Villa in the fifth round of the Champions League. Dusan suffered the left thigh problem a week ago and, considering the absence of muscle injuries, an attempt against the Villans is more than legitimate. Vlahovic is following his recovery program and today he will be re-evaluated by Motta.
Clearly Dusan will not have to force the rope, given that the Juventus forward fleet is already without Milik and Nico Gonzalez. Thiago Motta and his staff are therefore thinking about a possible call-up for the away match in Birmingham, where Juventus will look for their third victory in the Champions League after the defeat against Stuttgart and the recent draw in Lille. To reach the round of 16 the Old Lady will need an extra gear, which could clearly coincide with Vlahovic’s return to full strength.
