Leipzig in difficulty but Orban does not fear Inter: “We will give 100%, we haven’t given up”

Leipzig, still at 0 points after 4 games, are 32nd in the Champions League table and desperately need a victory. Tomorrow’s opponent is Inter, fifth with 10 points and far from intending to give gifts to a team that has just returned from a bad defeat in the league: “The negative results depend on some factors and the first matches – with Atletico, Juve and Liverpool – they were complicated. Yet we could have obtained a few more points, while against Celtic we played badly. Then we had many important absences, players who have a winning mentality. But we won’t give up and with Inter we will give 100%,” the captain said Willi Orban at the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Inter is one of the strongest teams in the Champions League, I will focus in particular on Lautaro Martinez. We have to defend as a team, because all the Inter players are strong. It will be a great challenge for all of us.”

Completely different philosophies: “They have very experienced players, we are a mix of more people structured and absolutely talented young people. The path that our club has decided to follow is very clear. We want to win, but also bring some young people to be among the best footballers in Europe and we are succeeding.”
