Thiago Motta’s report cards: great solidity, but always too little forward

Without Vlahovic and with 15 outfield players available, Juventus Thiago Motta leaves San Siro undefeated. The coach prepares a match based on patience, defensive attention and the ability to attack in the few opportunities available, but this last aspect – unlike the other two – does not succeed as expected.

Evaluations almost entirely in agreement on the work of the Juventus coach, awarded only by TMW with 6.5: “The move of the Koopmeiners-McKennie tandem to replace Vlahovic pays off in terms of density and dribbling, but not in terms of danger. In the midst of an emergency , snatches a point from San Siro which contributes to maintaining the unbeaten record in the championship.”

For the rest they are all 6, confirming a Juventus performance with both positive and negative aspects. Tuttosport writes: “From the sparkling evening at San Siro in the 4-4 draw with Inter to the mortal boredom against Milan, in the same stadium: in between injuries and absences which represent a more than valid alibi. But the feeling, from the start, is that Juventus can also be satisfied with the score zero-nil and the consequent score, which is however precious for maintaining their unbeaten record and collecting yet another “clean sheet” of the season in Serie A. But the Juventus mentality is another.”
