The Court of Cassation has decided: Boban will have to compensate Milan by around one million euros

The Court of Cassation fully confirmed the appeal procedure in the trial between Zvonimir Boban and the Milan. The former manager will therefore receive financial damages from the Rossoneri club for the “illegitimate dismissal, but not “non-economic” damages. The Croatian will be awarded the salaries due, as was established in the first instance trial, but will have to repay the club of Via Aldo Rossi the responsibilities such as, for example, damage to image.

Rewinding the tape to May 10, 2021, Milan paid 5 million euros to Boban, but then appealed. The sentence confirmed the illegitimacy of the dismissal, but excluded the damage to image. Boban therefore appealed in turn to the Supreme Court, which has now confirmed the ruling of the second degree. The former technical director will therefore owe the Devil around one million euros.
