Nations League, Holland-Spain in the quarterfinals. De la Fuente: “We want to confirm the title”

Luis de la Fuente spoke to the official channels of the Spanish Federation after the Nations League draw, which reserved the Netherlands in the quarter-finals. The first match will be played away: “At this stage of the competition all the rivals are very tough. Holland is a rival we haven’t faced for a long time and they have great players, they are a great team. They have just played a great European Championship, they reached the semi-finals and it will be a very difficult match.”

The homecoming: “Playing at home gives you the chance to make up for any unforeseen problems you had in the first match. We’re having a fantastic welcome everywhere in Spain, people are showing their support to us. It’s good news: we’ll try to do a good job on the way out so as not to have to sort things out on the way back, it could be difficult.”

Many players in our sights: “We continue with the monitoring work. We are attentive to the players and the new ones that could emerge, we will welcome them with open arms. There is a lot of time available, but time passes very quickly and we must always be prepared” .

Winning the Nations League again: “We want to have a great competition and we want to maintain this title. It is a very important title and very difficult to win. It would be the first time in history that someone has managed to confirm a title of this importance.”
