With two days to go until the end of the group stage in the Women’s Champions League, six teams have already qualified for the quarter-finals and therefore just two places remain to be assigned to complete the picture. And there is still an Italian team in the running.
In fact, if yesterday evening Juventus had to say goodbye to the competition in advance due to a defeat, which leaves a bitter taste in the mouth due to the way it has matured, on the Arsenal pitch at the hands of a former player like Lina Hurtig, the case is different of Roma who, despite the double defeat against Lyon, are still in the running to become second. The direct clash with Wolfsburg will be decisive for the Giallorossi: the two teams are in fact tied in the standings and on 11 December they will compete in Germany in what will probably be a fundamental match for the European fortunes of the two teams.
