Becir Omeragic’s growth is constant. The Swiss defender has been included in the performance charts as one of the best under-23 centre-backs in the top five leagues in Europe, after becoming a regular starter at Ligue 1 club Montpellier. A thigh injury has sidelined him in recent weeks, causing him also skip the national team round.
Omeragic, however, is an opportunity for the Italians. Because Montpellier, after purchasing him on a free transfer a summer and a half ago, can sell him. The valuation is around 6-7 million, with several clubs in our country having conducted a survey in recent weeks. Among these also Naples, Milan and Turin. The formula could be that of a loan with obligation to redeem, because the French intend to raise cash: it would still be a dry capital gain because, in fact, it reached zero. He still has a long contract, expiring on 30 June 2028, but the idea is precisely that of a different career step.
In this situation there is also a change of agent. Because Omeragic has signed with Excency, a Lausanne company owned by Claudio Gonzalez. A move aimed at looking for a new job in view of the next transfer session, where Omeragic can be one of the most coveted defenders on the international scene.
