FIGC, elective elections set for February 3rd. Gravina: “I haven’t released the reserve yet”

The federal council of the FIGC in Rome has ended in which president Gabriele Gravina informed the council of the decision to call the next elections of the Football Federation on 3 February 2025.

There is therefore an official date, waiting to understand whether Gravina will run again for what would be his third mandate. These are the words of Gravina, in his second presidential mandate at the FIGC, regarding the possibility of running again in the next elections for the third time: “I am not insensitive to the data, I am not being courted. I know I have important numbers, the certainty of the result is there, the problem is another: understanding if there are the conditions to lead the Federation with a different serenity and a perspective for Italian football”. And again: “I have not yet resolved my reservations about my re-nomination. I will initiate a discussion that will be open and inspired by the highest principles of democracy. Afterwards I will communicate my decision. But regardless of the name, I would very much like there to be a sense of great unit, it already happened in 2018 and the results could be seen”., the words reported by Sky Sports.
