Interviewed by the portal zerocinquantuno.it, the striker Jens Odgaard, playing for Bolognaalso spoke about his teammate Jesper Karlsson, who broke the deadlock in the last round of the championship with the decisive goal to beat Roma at the Olimpico: “His goal made him, the team and the fans happy, in that general celebration was all there. For a striker it’s essential to score, when it happens something triggers inside you in terms of mentality and awareness, in fact now I see Jesper more cheerful and recharged. I believe in him and I told him to carry on like this, especially in terms of performance, because he has the talent and qualities to impose himself.”
And does Bologna still believe in the Champions League? Odgaard responds like this: “Yes, and we have no intention of giving up. You will already see it against Lille. It’s my first time in the Champions League and it gives me incredible sensations. We are giving 100%.” On the role of attacking midfielder, he adds: “I had already played it in the past with good results, but here in Italy it’s the first time. I must say that in the more central area I feel decidedly at ease. And for me Serie A is still one of the best championships ever.”
