Marco Donadelformer midfielder of Florentine and former youth coach of the Gigliato club, spoke to the microphones of Radio FirenzeViola on the sidelines of the Hall of Fame Viola: “It’s a very important event. In the end, Fiorentina has an incredible history, made up of successes and disappointments. Events like these are fundamental because they remind us of what happened, and you can perceive how much passion there is around the team”.
How should Fiorentina restart in the championship?
“They know better than us what to do. The enthusiasm must not be wasted, the values are emerging and the players are excellent. There is a right, lively atmosphere, and it is right to dream. The other teams can lose points”.
Do you like the team game?
“The game has changed a lot. Bove perhaps plays in my role with number 4, but he doesn’t have the same characteristics. He attacks, shoots, scores, runs for two. Maybe it was the secret in moments of difficulty: he played three roles. Also Comuzzo gave a lot. This Fiorentina reminds me of our first year with Prandelli.”
Is it nice to be reunited with former classmates?
“Yes, it’s always nice. I see the coach every now and then. Mutu, on the other hand, hasn’t been seen in a year: now I’m going to hug him.”
An opinion on Palladino’s management of the team?
“I liked how he immediately fell into the Florentine mentality. He didn’t get lost in philosophies, but managed the retreat with half the team and focused on the business. Playing European cups is another thing, and he focused on players who they make the difference. In these cases, there is no need to add anything else.”
