Venice in the running for salvation, trust in Di Francesco. And Petagna and Maggiore are liked on the market

Venezia has clear ideas and has reiterated its full trust in Eusebio Di Francesco. The coach from Pescara is highly respected by the managers of the Veneto club – he underlines Tuttosport taking stock of the club’s bench -, who are satisfied with the performances provided by the team. The playing identity transmitted by DiFra is clear and allowed us to play brilliant matches, however marred by serious defensive errors by individuals which cost important points.

Those around Penzo remain convinced that Di Francesco is the right coach to achieve the goal of salvation. For this reason, the technical area led by Antonelli is already working to deliver the requested reinforcements. In the middle of the field, watch out for the return of the flame for Giulio Maggiore, who appears about to leave Salernitana. Already at the end of August the lagoon players had tried to take over the former Spezia, but the Granata sporting director Petrachi had shot high. Now the scenarios seem to have changed and the track can heat up. Making room for him is Luca Fiordilino, who is no longer part of the Venetian plans and will be sold to Serie B.

Up front, however, Gytkjaer (expiring on June 30) and Raimondo remain in the balance. It cannot be ruled out that one of the two could leave in January. Which is why the spike market is carefully monitored at the orange-green house. A name that has been circulating in recent days is that of Andrea Petagna, who, having recovered from pneumonia, is ready to return as a protagonist. In Monza, however, he appears closed by Djuric and Mota and could migrate elsewhere.
