The Slovakia coach spoke at a press conference on the eve of the match against Estonia Francesco Calzona he spoke about Suslov, who sat next to him and became a regular starter for his team after a difficult start: “He is becoming a very important player for this team. I’m happy about this, because I was very hard on him for a year. He understood that it was all for his own good, because he has enormous potential. He understood what he has to give to football, how to behave on the pitch and he is doing it: now I am very happy that his career can progress. It’s also excellent for the national team.”
However, bad news arrives about the other Hellas player: “Duda will not be at the match tomorrow. The tests have shown a strain.”
Calzona is harsh on the possible relaxation of his team: “I won’t accept it. Of course, we know that we will move from second place, but I hate it when the team goes into a game and doesn’t give one hundred percent. Under my leadership, the players gave their all practically every time. Maybe recently the performances they weren’t as we expected, but I’m convinced that they always gave their best. The only thing that would make me angry would be if there was a bit of complacency.”
