Speaking on the sidelines of Grand Gala of Italian Football, Carlalberto Ludisporting director of Como, spoke about the Como team’s season: “We are not worried or anxious. We are focused on work. At the moment, what we have to manage are the injuries, which take away some of our thoughts. For the rest , we would have liked to collect a few more points, but we remain focused on our championship, on the fight for survival and on our opponents. We are showing a good game, which heartens us and gives us the certainties we need. We continue to work, to grow , knowing that the championship will come to life in the second part. Today, we are satisfied with what we are showing, although obviously we would have liked a few more points.”
The solidity of the property?
“The ownership is solid, even before it is rich. It is an aspect that I always underline: solidity makes the difference. We have an adequate budget for the set objectives, and the ownership has always demonstrated the ability to intervene with important investments when necessary. Just think to last January, when there was the perception of being able to win the championship, and significant interventions were made. It is possible that the same will happen in January. Having said that, we are very satisfied with the squad and what we are seeing in the championship we just need to optimize some aspects of our game.”
Was this the departure you were expecting?
“Yes, we expected difficulties, but I am more satisfied than I imagined at the beginning. We are talking about 15 new players, who integrated quickly and immediately assimilated the coach’s technical ideas. This gives us confidence for the future. Serie A, after 21 years of absence, is incredibly demanding. It is a difficult championship, but we must remain balanced and continue to work as we are doing. The results will come.
